This is the brewery's big release. They were selling for $20 at the brewery but were marked down to $10 at my local bottle shop a few months later. So splitting it four ways at $2.50 each, it was brought to a bottle share.
This is supposed to be a bourbon barrel aged imperial brown ale. The beer had no body or carbonation. It is as flat as two day old Coke. The taste was like whiskey but watered down. I don't mind the whiskey notes, but there is nothing else going on here. The appearance was nice, since it was sort of brown. Otherwise, this is everything a barrel aged beer should not be. Or perhaps its just barrel aged rust water.
