Before barrel aging a beer, it is important that the beer has body. Something is needed to "absorb the hit", of the barrel aging. The problem here lies in a thin Russian Imperial Stout with a weak taste profile and little body. It is a though the middle man of beer was taken, and straight shots of bourbon were served. This may beer the worst barrel aged beer I have ever had.
