This is my go-to addition to dinner if I feel like having a low alcohol beer. It is not up to par with Grist Iron's other offerings, but if you are looking for a more sober night then this is the your best choice.
The flavor is usually quite burnt and coffee-like. Pleasant changes seem to occur with different batches throughout the year. Sometimes it tastes like a weak stout, other times like a stout with a solid malt backbone to support the coffee flavor. It is not watery at all. Very well balanced for a low alcohol beer.

8/30....pours quite dark, hints of brown, but more black and very still. Ring of foam. Coffee nose, slight bitter. Mild, british flavor. Malty. Clean and light. Truly a dark colored light beer.

A very interesting beer. Looked like a porter or a stout, smelled like a porter or stout, tasted like... well, a very weak porter or stout. Had a nose of roasty malt and coffee, and definitely imparted a weak coffee flavor. Very thin mouthfeel, which confused my senses after smelling it.
I'm glad I tried it, but I'm not sure I'd ever buy a full pint of it.

This is an interesting beer--in a scene where bigger is hailed as better, this Mild steps in with a lowly ABV of 2.89. This certainly bucks some trends.
Thin mouth feel and head, with a coffer flavor. Did I say coffee? Yes. Let's way it three times---coffee, coffee, coffee. Almost like a cold, carbonated coffee. Not exactly, but you get the point--or at lest I hope you do. Mile hops bitterness is prominent in the finish. Not great but decent. And interesting.
