Mixed Berry Kettle Sour
We added a dose of lactobacillus into the brew kettle and left the wort to quick sour overnight, then added in a mix of raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, & strawberry puree during secondary fermentation. The resulting brew has a deep berry color and a full body with rich melodies of jam and a rockin' riff of tart and tang that'll get any sour lover head bangin'.

12 ounce can, no dating that I noticed on the can. Thanks to my buddy Denis for this! Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy reddish/purple color with about an inch light pink head that stuck around for a little while. Head retention and lacing are both OK. I like the aroma, the brew smells mostly like red berries (raspberry, blueberry, blackberry) and a bit of bready malt. Taste is similar to the aroma but there's also some strawberry flavor noticeable too. Nice balance between the berries and malt, and there's a nice hint of tartness too. Mouthfeel/body is light, it's smooth and a bit slick with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I thought it was a nice easy drinking sour, worth a try if you come across some.

12 oz can poured into a tulip pint glass. Pours a deep reddish/purple with a large purple-tinted off-white head. Nice lacing. Aroma and flavor feature jammy berries, more tart than sweet. Light wheaty malt background. Prickly and slightly thin mouthfeel. Overall it's a tasty fruited kettle sour with no off flavors, but it's not a beer I will feel the need to seek out again.
