Plutzer Bräu is a polished, charming, and comfortable place just down the street from Siebensternbräu with lots of wood, wrought iron, and stone in the decor. It's newish, and highly polished in comparison. It's got wood floors, wooden tables, wood paneling, and an interesting pock-marked ceiling that helps to distract you from the extensive ductwork, although that's nicely incorporated as well. Additionally, the bathrooms are very nice; and there's a good amount of outdoor seating for when the weather is nice.
There are 6 taps that include 3 house beers, and 6 in bottles. I sampled two of their house brewed beers and thought that they were both quite nice.
The food is good, and very European. I had the garlic creme suppe mit schwartz brot croutons (€4,90) and Käsenockerl (€7,90) and both were quite good (in fact, the garlic cream soup reminded me of something that I'd just had in Prague, and I made it at home for months after returning!).

a nice corner spot in a pedestrian-friendly part of wien. we sat outside so i feel partially unable to gauge atmosphere, but i definitely enjoyed my meal. i had a solid potato soup with a pork steak along with my weihenstephan and plutzer "house" brew (i believe there are three and what i had was the zwickl). well priced
there were around a dozen brews on tapall of the delicious variety (although they did have guinness as well)and almost that manyalso deliciousin bottles. if you're in vienna, make the trip
