10oz pour on tap at Hopcat in Madison, Wisconsin, served in a snifter glass. Served as a dark brown body, one finger offwhite head, short retention, no lacing. Smells of coconut, milk chocolate, sweet boozy rum, even maybe a bit of astringent oak. Flavour is a step above the base porter; fresh coconut flavours mixed in with boozy rum, light oak, milk chocolate, even a touch of bitter espresso, minimal roast. It's more complex and the rum complements the coconut well. That being said, I would love it if the base beer got beefed up to have a little more roast and milk chocolate to back up the coconut. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, served a bit too cold so I would let this warm up a bit.
