On-tap served in a stemmed glass at Mikkeller Bangkok.
Jet black in color, it comes with a finger of foamy light tan head that stays with decent retention before gradually subsiding to some bubble sheet on the surface and leaving only slight lacing.
In a nose, it has rich mocha with dark yet creamy chocolate and black coffee. Also with notes of roasted, licorice, burnt sugar, dark bread, some caramel, and spicy yet citrusy hop.
The taste is led by mocha profile of black coffee and chocolate. Then it is roasted trait like a roasted coffee sourness together with licorice, burnt sugar, dark bread, and some touch of sweet yet warming alcohol. Hop is there in the background with its citrus and crisp bitterness while the end is quite lasting with strong roasted and mocha flavor.
Fairly thick and full body with some bold and sticky touch through the palate, smooth mouthfeel with some good crisp and moderate carbonation that is proper to carry all the things well, finish is very dry.
There is a pretty good combination of chocolate and black coffee character here also with a complement of hop making it well tasty.
