On-tap served in a stemmed glass at Mikkeller Bangkok.
Pitch black in color with a finger of light tan foamy head, it dissipates to some bubble along the edge.
The aroma is led by rich and ripe fruitiness reminding of black grape, dark berry, currant, raisin, and prune. There are also notes of some spice, a bit roasted, caramel, and bread.
The taste is complex and warming with a touch of sweet alcohol. It is quite fruity also with notes of black grape, dark berry, currant, raisin, and prune. Some peppery spice in the middle together with a solid malt bill of roasted, chocolate, sweet caramel, toasted bread, and biscuit. Bitter kick is at the end which imparts from both roasted malt and hop.
Full and bold body with some syrupy touch, low carbonation but it is okay to carry along under quite smooth mouthfeel, finish is dry.
This one is hefty, quite complex, and quite alcoholic but it is also so very well tasty on the other hand.
