Served on tap (W) in a 16 oz (473 ml) nonic at Craft Heads Brewing.
A: Pour a very slightly hazy, copper/dark copper color with ochre highlights, robust head formation leaving a two finger, foamy, white head, solid retention, and rings and rings of complex, sticky lacing.
S: Subtle aromas of caramel, but more butterscotch, and toast.
T: Semisweet. First impression: it reminded me of a Werther's candy. Flavors favor the nose, but heavy on the caramel/butterscotch and maybe a touch of Irish Whiskey (without being boozy). Very light bitterness in the background.
M: Light bodied with strongly persistent effervescence. Fairly clean finish for this style with just a touch of honeysuckle at the end.
O: Brown vs amber ale, this was a great representative of the style.
