Served on tap (A) in a 16 oz (473 ml) nonic at Craft Heads Brewing.
A: Pour an essentially black color with robust head formation leaving a two plus (the server basically poured it out to make room for more liquid) finger, foamy, light brown head, amazingly solid retention, and rings and rings of complex, sticky lacing.
S: Aromas of black, dark brew coffee, molasses, mocha, and licorice.
T: I would have to call it semisweet. Flavors favor the nose, but licorice strong almost becoming peppery bitterness. This is sufficient from prevent excessive sweetness.
M: Full bodied with strongly persistent effervescence. Chunky/chewy.
O: This is an awesome Russian Imperial Stout, which just hit on all the right notes. Wow.
