First off, Siem Reap Brewpub is a fantastic place. Please visit. All the beers were decent if not remarkable. But you have remember they are operating in a sea of Asian lagers so they can't go too overboard. I would probably consider this more of a brown ale than a porter, but that does not matter. It was a worthy and good beer. In the heat I preferred the others, but it is clear the Brewers know what they are doing.

Coca cola brown with lots of head. It smells sweet and fruity, almost like dates. The taste is more delicate-- banana, coffee, chocolate, apples. It's interesting and surprisingly complex. Something almost smoky (roast, I guess) cuts through just at the end. Recommended.
