A: Pours an opaque yet still clear very dark chestnut brown (approaching jet black) in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate amber + dark cola brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger fizzy sudsy foamy beige head that reduces to a couple of very small patches of very thin film surrounded by a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of cold brew coffee over the top of just shy of moderate aromas of roasted + toasted + bready malts with light to moderate amounts of lactose sweetness. Hints of earthy hops.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of roasted + toasted + bready malts with light to moderate amounts of lactose sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of cold brew coffee. Finally there is a light flavor of earthy hops. Light to moderate amounts of lingering roasty bitterness from both the malts and the coffee.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth though a bit thin for the style.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol though a touch thin in the mouthfeel for a milk stout in my opinion. Enjoyable flavors + aromas from the coffee over a fairly typical base milk stout.
