This one kinda bums me out. I hate to give anything resembling a negative review, especially to a new brewery, so the good points first: it is crisp, refreshing, and totally quaffable. Perfect hot day beer. It pours a murky (borrowed from the last review) super pale yellow. Not the most enticing presentation. There's not much in the way of aroma. If anything, it smells a little stale. No date on the bottle. Who knows, right out of the tap, this could smell and taste amazing. But there are a lot of very solid session IPAs out there these days, and this one is not a contender. Like I said, it's totally drinkable and refreshing, but these guys either need to work out the kinks on this one, or perhaps it's been sitting in the bottle too long. I just reviewed their First Rye, and found that to be a really solid offerring. I want all new breweries to succeed, and I wish these guys the best. I just hope this one gets a little better.

Very light, refreshing, session ale. Still a very piney, citrusy flavor without the heaviness of an IPA. At only 4% Abu, you can drink more than one if wanted.

Pours a murky light yellow with a foamy khaki head that settles wisps of film on top of the beer. Thin streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, earth, dirt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and slight herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with earth, dirt, herbal hop, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of earth and hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer that is drinkable, but the flavors are somewhat dirty and muddled to me.
