Draft: Poured a brown color Dunkel with a medium size off-white foamy head with average retention and light lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with dry herbal hops notes. Taste is also a mix of grainy cereal and light caramel notes with a semi-dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. OK but unrefined malt base could be improved upon.

On tap at the source.
Dark brown/black with faint garnet at the edges of great clarity. Frothy off white head persists. Bready toasty light coffee maltiness with earthy hops to counter.

Had this in a flight at the brewery. The beer had a dark amber appearance with no head. Very malty aromas that led to a decadent taste profile that even had what I thought was a hint of chocolate. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Overall, this was good across the board, especially with its aroma and taste.
