Given to me as a joke.

A - Poured out a golden/yellow color. It was highly carbonated with a small, white head that left no lace.

S - It smelled of corn and grain adjuncts.

T - It was bittersweet. There was a mix of corn and grain adjunct taste. Despite pouring it into a pint glass, it still had a metallic taste.

M - It was somewhat crisp. A light-bodied beer.

D - Not really something I'd get for myself, no matter how cheap it is.

Clear pilsner color; quickie white head, some beading, eminates a sweet malt earthy corn-like aroma. Mild huskiness (kind of pleasing), corn flavoring in the foreground, a fair malt-based backbone, minimal hop bitterness acidic and grainy aftertaste, at 3 cans for a dollar - and union made!- you can almost cover the loss when you sell the aluminum can. Seriously, it was going out the door in large volumn at the Dirt Cheap liquor store on I 270 near the Mississippi River outlet. Thing is Totally Dirt Cheap is just not kind of "chick" now days!

Crystal clear golden hue; nil head, carbonation quite visible, fizzy soda like appearance. Cooked veggie and adjunct-filled aroma. Mild huskiness, corn flavoring in the foreground, a fair malt-based backbone, minimal, if any hop detection. Slight acidic and grainy aftertaste, yet not overly offending. No major characteristics, yet not the worst beer ever made; the words dirt and cheap in the name, cheap it is, worth trying just for the heck of it. As of January 2004, under five smacks for a 12-pack.

Looks like a pilsner, albeit w/ poor head retention. Crystal clear straw hue. DMS and grainy 6-row notes in aroma. w/ the slightest hint of noble hops. Watery mouthfeel w/ a slight metallic tinge, but very clean otherwise. There's just a touch of nondescript hop bitterness-- there's no hop flavor whatsoever. A corn - like sweetness manages to overpower the meager hop profile. That being said, I think this is better than other crappy domestic lagers. There aren't any significant off flavors. This one was a gift. I got a kick out of pouring a can of "Totally Dirt Cheap Beer" into my gold - rimmed Flensburger Pilsner glass. It was a hoot. As it says on the can: "It's always a lot of fun with Totally DIRT CHEAP Premium Beer"
