Nice looking pour with a decent 2 inch head. It’s a lighter looking Oktoberfest with a slight caramel color. A bit of toffee and caramel on the nose. Creamy mouthfeel and extremely smooth. A bit thin but the taste makes up for the thin feel. Nothing cloying, very enjoyable.

Picked this up this afternoon at Gateway Liquors in Thurmont. Interesting in that it seems to be an original mélange style of both typical Oktoberfest brews: traditional marzen and more contemporary Festbier. Dark golden color with copper tint. Flavor is malty but also light in body with some late noble hop movement. Kind of interesting as a hybrid even if it is not a standout for either style. Worth a shot at this price point.
