Saw the tweet from Troubled Monk, and were in Red Deer anyways, had to stop and check it out.
"Coffee n' Smokes! Our newest experimental beer a smoked coffee porter. With fantastic cold brew from @DOSECoffeeCo "
Poured deep and dark, black with a thick and tight tan head.
Smells of rich, cold coffee.
Full of flavor, coffee, a bit of smoke at the end. Coffee comes out more and more as the beer sits and starts to warm.
Medium to full body, smooth and a bit creamy.
Really liked this one, we have been really impressed by everything from Troubled Monk.
Currently available only on-tap, but I hope this makes into the regular (or at least seasonal) line up.
Wife was so impressed that we had to get a growler to go. Even though it was out of regular tap and not CO2 charged, the beer held up great. Lots of carbonation, same aroma and flavor as at the brewery.
We will be back FOR MORE.
