355ml can - the last (presumably) in their summer 2018 Long Weekend series. Happy Labour Day, y'all!

This beer pours a clear, bright medium golden yellow colour, with three zaftig fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and somewhat fizzy off-white head, which leaves a few instances of sudsy and streaky lace around the glass as it quickly evaporates.

It smells of crisp, grainy and crackery cereal malt, white grape juice, a further indistinct pome fruitiness, some damp minerality, and plain earthy, leafy, and grassy green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, white wine sur lie, underripe red apples, more hard water flintiness, and some leafy, weedy, and dead grassy noble hops.

The carbonation is quite active in its palate-baiting frothiness, the body an adequate middleweight, and mostly smooth, as nothing really gets in the way of the lakeside party at this particular juncture, eh? It finishes off-dry, the malt and mixed frooty essences keepin' those home fires burnin'.

Overall - this comes across as a very well-made version of this old-school style, nice and balanced and full of flavour. Unfortunately it, like all holiday Mondays, will be gone in a flash, so grab some this if you come across it - heck, there's still time to seek it out - beer run!
