this is very good beer. i always have thought these guys were a little under appreciated and respected in the local scene here, and beers like this really confirm that for me. for one, its super pretty, not very clear at all for a blonde ale, ill agree there, but its still gorgeous, thick and hazy with a tall white belgian looking head that rises above the rim of my wine glass and stays put. less peach than a lot of these have, i think thats a testament to fresh fruit used, harder to get flavor and smells coming through and lasting with fresh fruit than it is with an extract or a syrup, but the flavor and aroma of yellow peaches that does come through is awesome. seems more like a wheat than a blonde, i dont know if the listing here is correct or not, but there is that fluffy wheat texture going on, and certainly the traditional cloudiness associated with this malt. not sweet at all, but still peachy, which i love, and there is a little yeast element, not quite funky, but perhaps a little saison quality creeping in later on. its flavorful and delicious, refreshingly light but also somewhat substantial in terms of its satisfaction levels and proposed pace of consumption. another good beer from caution, one of the better uses of peaches not in a wild ale that i can recall, and a beer that deserves some recognition i think. very very well done, despite the lack of praise.
