As a kid I was fond of Genesee & Utica Club cream ales. Since then I've really never enjoyed them much. I find them often harsh and sort of boozy, and generally not "CREAMY"! So maybe I have no true knowledge of what the style should present but I will say that this one brought me back to what I personally enjoyed about the style based on my teenage macro experience. So I enjoyed this one as perhaps the best one I've tried yet. Clear and dark gold in appearance with just a ring of bubbles at the rim the aroma gives off a mild but pleasant grainy tropical fruit. The taste comes on pretty sweet with hints of orange- Mellon and yeasty wheat. It's nicely carbonated for a fairly crisp feel but the body holds up to a bit of creaminess. Very drinkable brew.

Golden color with nearly no haze. Tiny had that quickly becomes rim bubbles, leaving only a spot or two on the glass.

Grainy, lightly sour unmalted barley aroma.

Clean and crisp, this is a step up from the macros but I wouldn't necessarily identify it as a cream ale. The swallow does bring forward a milky sourness but it's brief and mild. Otherwise, it comes across as a straightforward very pale, slightly fruity, popular-to-all unobtrusive ale.
