Clear, darker amber color. Small bar poured head but the rim bubbles linger. Small amounts of streaks and spots.
Semisweet caramel aroma with a dash of bitters I get a berry fruit start and a dry white pepper finish.
The taste is earthy and dryer than the smell. It's also dryer with less fruit. The body leans rich but the carbonation is higher than most pale ales. The finish is bitter in a nondescript way. Decent time on the aftertaste.
