Born in the backyards of Zionsville Indiana this beer, otherwise known as Bart's Bad Ass Beer, is a powerful IPA that has an ABV of 7.00% with 86 IBUs. However it is still a perfectly balanced beer with its malty middle. You will notice the aroma of citra hops that may remind you of grapefruit at grandma's house.

YE IPA=Yellow Beer
16 oz. Can
The color is not yellow but more like a rusty golden color. Plenty of activity, slightly hazy with a medium sized foam cap, white thin layer keeps a constant cover.
The nose is very old school! Sweet and amber grainy malts, honey soaked bread, English style. Sweet citrus, pineapple and grapefruit fruitiness from the Citra hops, but in a subtle way.
The first gulp has some very complex maltiness, light and crispy field grains, mixed with amber bready sweetness and a crisp malty bite that actually provides a very nice mouthfeel addition. The Citra hops taste like mild grapefruit, orange rind and a laid-back citrus tangy. This is NOT a NEipa, this is NOT a West coast style IPA, but some sort of English/Indiana USA hybrid!
I find this IPA to be very interesting, and a beer that fly well under the radar of most beer geeks and BA's. I can easily find some subtle charms that I personally enjoy. The Ballance is excellent, the malt is deeply flavored and the hop tones, although subtle; come together to make a certain Xfactor that is enjoyed by the fine balance.
Crispy medium bodied, grainy, smooth, juicy, then dry with earthly herbals and spices that make it feel lively and easy-breazy. The mouthfeel is rather excellent.
Overall, you're going to love it, or hate it. I see and understand the subtle complexities and rad balance. So, I'm game, I could buy this again. For sure.
