Turtle Stack Brewery

Repurposed open room in downtown LA Crosse. Street parking along with pay lots nearby. Sidewalk patio with umbrellas over tables. Inside seating at an L-shaped bar, and low and high tables with stools and chairs. Black painted ceiling, gray and taupe/green walls, and an older wood slat floor. One TV in one corner showing sports. View of brewing equipment behind the bar through glass windows. Ten taps with a good mix of styles. Cooler has cans and bottles to go. Cordial and helpful staff. Inviting spot for tourists and locals.

The Turtle Stack is off second street in downtown La Crosse. The inside is cozy and in the summer time they have a few outdoor tables available. There is no bar to sit at....only high tops and tables inside. The quality of the beer is great. The service has always been kind and attentive. The selection...I feel is a bit limited...six or so beers on tap.

 

 

 

 

Nice taproom right by the river. The SMASH Golden Ale stood out in my flight, although all the beers I tried were decent. No food, but you can order in. Good vibe, seems popular with locals that know beer.

 

Great beer with a plethora of styles available. Everything I've had is above average and great for its style. Nice small place in downtown La Crosse. Good selection for the size of the brewery. Nice friendly staff. Very good vibe with live music and clean atmosphere.
