part of a series of smoothie type sours, this edition is blueberry marshmallow, a super peculiar beer, of which they had a fair few flowing when we were in, but this one takes the cake. its insanely blue to purple in color, real deep, just gobs of puree in this must be, i even see little specks of the skins and such, poorly refined in that way, but at least you know the ingredients are real. it actually looks cool even with the pieces of blueberry, the color is awesome. the aroma is not all that tart really, only mildly sour this one, with a strong vanilla note doing the marshmallow part of this, maybe some lactose in here too, a little tannic thing from the fruit, a jammy concentrated baked sort of blueberry vibe, and its that way in the flavor too, not much acidity at all, totally berry driven, but sweet with vanilla cream character, definitely a smoothie vibe to this, a thicker feel too, if that was the goal, this is quite well executed, the souring is even rather clean, this just isnt all that beery, more adjuncts than grain, hops, or yeast character, and even though its trendy, that rarely appeals to me, i need a little more beer to this thing. that said, the flavor overall is quite pleasant and i was impressed with the boldness but also the balance, this is only loosely a sour, but its pretty well done for what it is. some neat beers in this place, recommended for something a little different! i would love to try the others in this series!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
