Poured on-tap at the brewpub and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a dark brown coloring, almost black, with no head. Nose of dark roasted coffee, bittersweet chocolate, and subtle char. Flavors are heavily roasted, bitter coffee. Subtle chocolate highlights. Watery body, with a subtle coffee aftertaste. The finish is watery and weak. This started off good, but falters hard.
