16oz can poured into a snifter.
A: Brassy/golden color with just the slightest of haze. Fine bubbled white head retains well and leaves behind some thin collars of lacing.
S: Bursting with bright citrus and tropical aromas. Well-sugared ruby-red grapefruit, candied lemon peel, tangerine, freshly chopped pineapple, and some nice subtle grassiness and super mild piney/dank scents. Underlying toasty grain.
T: Big burst of bitter ruby-red grapefruit on the attack. Tangerine and meyer lemon. Pineapple juice. Oily and green hop flavors and some earthy/piney dankness ride up on the mid-palate. Brush of alcohol. Heavy, gripping hop bitterness. Toast and caramel malt base keeps things firmly anchored. Sweet and dank bud and some trailing citrus notes on the finish.
M: Full and thick in body. Round and silky. Some enamel-gripping hop astringency. Firm tongue-prickling carbonation.
O: Love it. This is unabashedly brawny and West Coast, yet still well put together and eminently drinkable. It's clean, bitter, dry, tropical, citrusy, and dank- just the way old-school hop-heads want it. I live for IPAs like this. Reminds me of a lot of time spent on the San Diego beer scene. My favorite Building 8 beer to date.

A- Tallboy pours into a stange glass with a mostly clear deep golden body and a one finger frothy white head. A ring remains around the edge of the beer leaving large webs of lacing.
S- Pineapple really comes to mind first and foremost. That quickly leads into more fruity hops with both tropical and citrus notes. Melon, mango, peach, bubble gum, orange and papaya notes. Sweet fruity hop nectar. With time the malts come out but so does a nice grapefruit and orange aroma.
T- Grapefruit and pine become more prominent in the flavor but the softer fruits are still retained with mango, papaya and pineapple rounding out the flavor. The fruity hops are the star of this taste but there is a nice bit of malts to compliment them with slight caramel and bready notes.
MF- Moderately heavy body with a creamy and foamy texture. Carbonation is at a medium-high level. Ends fairly warm with the high ABV and has a nice bittersweet finish.
A lot of citrus, pineapple and moreso in the flavor some pine. Malts are present but in the end this is a great high ABV IPA that just comes off oh so clean.
