I bought this due to the fact that I have never had a cream ale. Hell, I didn't know there was such a thing. This thing poured a honey orange sort of colour. Fairly clear apart from some particulate debris that I accidentally failed to contain. I got just a tiny bit of head. This was from a rather plummeting pour too. It has just a thin ring around the perimeter now. Carbonation is nearly nonexistent. I see no lace developing as I drink.

The nose smells of Atwater Block beer. Honey and nutmeg or something. They all seem to have the same nose save for some subtle nuances that are detectable only by dolphins or canine species. Cream ale. Que?

Taste is a bit lager like, but reminds me more of the macro cum micro type things like beach bum bud. It is sweet, maybe creamy due to the utter flatness I perceive, and vaguely hopped. Not alot to expound on here. It is not grotesque by any means, it is just not anything to write your mom about. Just a hair better than a mac lager.

Mouthfeel is approaching mid level with a flatness that throws off a cream illusion.

Drinkability is fine. This seems a bit mundane. However, faced with a choice betwixt this beer and mass produced fair, I would certainly order this. Not even based on principal, but just because it is a step better than common. I cannot say I dislike this. It is just unremarkable although I have made remarks about it. Weird how that all works. Not bad. Not of stellar magnitude. As stated above, it was my first "cream ale" if that matters.

This was a $1.50 at the Brass in Mt. Pleasant,MI. I had never heard of it and now I know why it was so cheap they were trying to get rid of it.Poured a dull light gold with no head to speak of like water pouring out of the bottle no carbonation nothing.Astringent aromas almost to much to take in a light toastiness underneath but uh man.Just bland watery kinda sweet no hop profile eeking out anywhere,a damn forgettable a beer stay away from it.

from the bottle. poured a orangish amber, with a off white head that left a small amount of lacing. aroma just hints of malts and hops, and some fruit hard to pin point on what kind. flavor not much going on here got some hops and some of those fruits. would not have thought this was a cream ale too thin

Pours a light golden in color, straw-like with a thin head that has no retention whatsoever. Nose is faintly estery, but very faint, not much going on, but nice regardless. Taste is pretty thin but decently enjoyable, a bit sweet, a touch of hops and malt.

Not bad overall, nothing bad about it, but nothing particularly noteworthy either. Worth trying if you have the oppurtunity, but not something I'd seek out. Average micro at best. Not really much of an ale, nevermind being a cream ale.

Pours to a clear straw golden, forming a small white head which recedes quickly but has good staying power, and the retention is minimal. Aroma is inoccuous generic american style brewpub pils...little bit of hops, little bit of malt, touch of rice. Mouthfeel is spritzy and very light. Carbonation is moderate. Taste...I'd swear this was a Budweiser. Same degree of carbonation, same rice taste, same bitterness level, same yeast character...everything is the same. This is identical. Clean finish. No perceptable alcohol. I'd guess this is in the 3.5-4.5% ABV. No metals or other perceptable off-flavors. Hard to believe this is an ale like the bottle says.

Not half bad for a really light hot summer day cookout kinda beer, but I wouldn't pay anymore for this than Budweiser. Try it and see if you agree.
