this lager pours out a chill hazed golden color...producing a fairly thick and creamy head that sticks and leaves a lot of lace. very sweet aroma malt aroma, almost honey like. some adjunct and "paint thinner" alcohol aroma too. a nice hoppiness detected in the background. tastes of sweet maltiness too...a bit of spicy hop bite shows itself. all this relatively goodness rides a nice smooth and creamy mouthfeel...fairly thick in texture. this lager is shocking me in it's quality since it's brewed in cold spring, mn., not exactly known for ANY quality beers. finishes smooth and creamy and quite drinkable. some faint off (adjunct) flavors....but i still like it. i expected this to be pure swill and was pleasantly surprised by some character. i would drink this again.
