Nice deep amber colour with little or no head ( probably due to the glasses havng gone through the bars dishwasher.) Smell of nice rich malt with just a hint of hops. Tasted nice and smooth, with strong malt and not much hops. The finish was quite unique in that it reminded me greatly of the finish on Rogues buckwheat ale. Very smooth mouthfeel with just the right carbonation. Very drinkable. These go down extrememly well. These were my first pints of the BBC and i was very impressed

This is the first beer that I've had from them and I was impressed. Sure, it was the regular type of amber that everybody makes, but it was more. The taste was a riche hearty taste of roasted malt, mixed with some fruity undertones. It was a dark red color with a little bit of head, but that died down fairly quickly. You gotta like the cool stick shifter tap!

A decent beer for a brand new brewery. This is their only beer I had thus far and is probably the one most aimed at the college crowd. Little to no head and with deep ruby hues. Earthy aroma and taste, almost like tasting the grains itself. There is the slight tast of hops in the finish. In my opinion, just an ok brew, but I wish this brewery the best of luck. I'm looking forward to trying their other beers which are probably aimed more towards drinkers like me, rather then the typical Virginia Tech croud.
