Who's down with OPP? Unfiltered Pils, touch of fruitiness on the nose from Saphir hops. Created with out friends at Rebellion, brewed with our team and available exclusively at Ornery and Rebellion.

This beer is referred to on the brewery's current beer menu as OPP. It's described as a German Pilsner, so I'm unsure why it's in the Kellerbier/Zwickelbier style category, other than it's not a very clear beer and could be the reason why.

16 ounce draft pour into a chalice at the brewery.
Ornery lists this as a Keller Pils.

L: Hazy but translucent gold. 1" creamy white head, lively in the glass.
S: Lighter strength nose, bright zesty spicy hop aroma, some fruity esters, white grape and grainy malt aromas after it sits a while.
T: Hoppy and sharp, medium overall bitterness rising at finish, floral hops, some citrus peel, grainy malt.
F: Light-medium body, crisp feel.
O: Ok, but lacks the zing of some of the fresh Kellerbiers I've had.

On tap at brewery:
Perfect clear body through which allowed the bubbles rising from the etched bottom to be mesmerizing. Original head was a loose finger given a bar pour. The lacing included cells of foam and the surface of the beer had a constant coverage of carbonation snow.

Nose was a mix of cereal-like malt with some floral hop notes. Deeper inhalations gave a slight pungent note that wasn’t skunky, but reminded me of that. There’s another interesting grass aspect that I could not pinpoint to a known aroma, maybe some strong wild spring onion when combined with that non-skunk note.

Clean opening, a bit of light malt followed by a metallic flavor. This morphed into a flavor that matched that pungent aroma. Nice and crisp, a mix of herbal grass notes and light floral hops that ended with a bit of the metal carried through.

A little bit like an imported pale lager, though with a little bit more nuance and less distinct green-glass skunk.
