Brewed with Smoking Gun Coffee Roasters
Appearance - Pours a deep gold with two fingers of creamy white head.
Smell - earthy and spicy hops, fruity esters (orange-esque, marmalade), grainy malts, coffee bean, light honey notes, and spicy belgian yeast.
Taste - mild earthy and spicy hops upfront. The fruity esters, grainy malts, light coffee bean and honey notes come through next. The spicy belgian yeast rounds out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes a touch sweet from the honey and fruity ester notes and the coffee bean is there as well.
Overall - A belgian blonde that certainly executed on the aroma side but didn't quite present the flavours strongly in the taste. I wish the belgian elements and coffee were a bit more pronounced in this one.
