650ml bottle - nice name, in terms of the timeliness of wet-hopped brews!

This beer pours a clear, pale golden yellow colour, with three chubby fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and slightly bubbly off-white head, which leaves some randomly streaky lace around the glass as it very, very lazily recedes.

It smells of bready and crackery pale malt, a lesser caramel sweetness, some minor plain Pez candy notes, and a healthy dose of leafy, floral, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, a touch of caramel/toffee, subtle earthy yeastiness, mixed citrus peels, some chalky flintiness, and more edgy weedy, resinous, and floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly active in its supportive and generally showy frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and mostly smooth, with just a hint of hoppy intransigence mucking about here. It finishes off-dry, the malt not about to give in to that good night, and the still fresh-seeming hops exhibiting that this is their time to shine.

Overall, Chrono is one of the better wet-hopped IPAs that I have come across during this current cornucopia season. Lots of zesty citrus and verdant hoppy characters abounding, and yet balanced, which makes for a certainly affable drinkability. Good, good stuff.
