Appearance - Pours a dark nut brown with four fingers of frothy tan head.

Smell - roasted malts, cocoa, earthy and leafy hops, hint of dark fruit (cherry, currants), coffee bean, and earthy yeast.

Taste - Roasted malts upfront followed by the cocoa. The brew then goes into the earthy and leafy hops then quickly transitioning to the hint of dark fruits of cherry and currant. The hint of coffee bean and earthy yeast finish the brew off.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Finishes creamy with the roasted malts, fruits, cocoa, and coffee bean lingering.

Overall - A flavourful and robust English Porter. All flavours advertised on the bottle are there which makes this an enjoyable brew on this chilly Calgary evening.
