Cloudy orange-tan color. Poured a small head that collapsed in seconds into a patchy skiff. Too cloudy to see the carbonation level. No lacing.
Sweet funk with a light strawberry scent. A light wheat flour scent also shows up. Swirling the glass boosts the funk and a bit more strawberry.
The flavor starts out with a lightly sweet wheat malt. After a few seconds some strawberry blends in and it turns a bit more tart. There is a quick rush of strawberry that dies down and leaves the malt to dominate. There is an odd funk that didn't seem to fit in. Just a hint of some cinnamon. The aftertaste is tart strawberry, a light sour funk, and a light malt.
Light tongue tingling. Turns into a mix of cream and bubble foam. Medium body. Slightly astringent.
This is very close to the old "The Last Strawberry Wit". A bit more funk with a stronger strawberry over the wit base. The flavors did not seem to be as nice a blend as the "Last Strawberry". Did not see the blobby bits that were in the "Last Strawberry". I think I preferred "The Last Strawberry Wit", but I can't do a side by side comparison after three years. This is probably the same recipe, so there could be storage issues that altered the flavor.
