We took some 15 month old Pie Thief that was resting in wheat whiskey barrels and blended that with some newer 6 month old Pie Thief that had been hanging out in some very high quality bourbon barrels. We then finished the beer on several pounds of vanilla beans inside the barrels. The flavors coming out of this are insane... reminiscent of homemade pumpkin pie topped with melted vanilla ice cream, with a nice sip of whiskey in between bites

Thanks to leftpaw for bringing this out to Thanksgiving 2019. Was one of those beers I wanted to try, but figured I prolly never would.

Pours a dark caramel brownish color. Virtually no head could be retained on this beer, my pic of it looks like it is still (it was not, just sucked at head retention). The aroma was a massive improvement, beautiful notes of whiskey, vanilla, pumpkin, cinnamon. Its very enjoyable to just sit and sniff on. This must be how Biden feels about women's hair.

Taste is a bigger beer than the nose indicates, its got plenty of whiskey notes to it, which are strong, but there is enough vanilla, cinnamon and pumpkin/yam like influence that the discernable booziness in the mouthfeel doesn't detract from the overall experience. We sipped on this (split two ways) for like 2 hours on Thanksgiving. Its that kind of beer. Don't be in a hurry. So much pie like influence on this one.

I think this one meets expectations even though I heard so much (hype) about it. Yes, its boozy, but savor it slowly and I think it will hit the spot for ya.

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours a nice murky orange with little head. Nose is pumpkin, spice, bourbon, vanilla, and oranges. The taste is amazing. Pumpkin, slight bourbon, lots of vanilla, bread, spice (cinnamon) and malts. Really smooth and easy to drink. Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Overall, I love this.

This flavor profile is simply not to my liking. It may be a much better beer than I've scored it - I just simply don't like it.
