On tap at the brewery last night. A mead barrel aged Dunkel? Intriguing and ominous.
Murky reddish brown thin beige head. Nose is toasty, sweet with floral honey mild cooked cereal caramel, dark Munich malt. Palate is mildly sweet with a faintly honey like character. The base Munich Dunkel is toasty, caramel like with mild toast and wheat bread, along with a deeper Munich malt flavor. Medium light in body and softly carbonated, this beer is mildly sweet in the finish. A delicate spice note is present too. Decent.
