Fire Barrel is a barrel aged blend featuring a variety of our favorite beers aged in the best bourbon and whiskey barrels around, some of which are nearly 3 years old. The name pays homage to the largest portion of this blend which was a stout aged in Del Bac Mesquite Whiskey Barrels giving this blend an incredible depth and complexity. It has a balanced smokiness but not over the top campfire style so we think it’s a perfect gateway into this great whiskey. No adjuncts here, just delicious barrel.

Enjoyed a 16 oz can for $10.00 when visiting the tap room on 6-3-19.
Beer was served black with a nice tan head initially.
Nose was very nice. Classic barrel, bourbon, vanilla, medium roast, and a touch of smoke.
Taste was a wonderful blending of flavors. Malt baseline was huge and of moderate char and a touch of smoke. Barrel brought in a nice touch of bourbon and very light vanilla and leather. Finished was not sweet, very well balanced by the barrel.
Mouthfeel was not as thick as hoped, medium bodied with a touch of smoothness.
Overall a pleasant surprise to have an option to try a nice barrel aged stout. Recommended if you go to the tap room!
