A weird lager that sprung about after researching some old world German brewing methods. This lager started with a grain bill of Weyermann Specialty Malts Bohemian Pilsner malt, toasted golden oats, honey malt, and carafoam. We then hopped it in the boil and whirlpool with a French grown varietal known as Barbe Rouge, which gives off familiar aromatics you’d find in German hops but with a little bright strawberry accent floating around. Fermented low and slow before a 5 week lagering period, at which point we put it in cans for a secondary week long lager condition. This lil beer is like if a Nature Valley honey oat bar was a lager. So satisfying with that aroma of toasted oats and strawberries with a little touch of honey sweetness on the finish.

Picked up a six pack of 16oz cans from the WHBC tap room on 1-16-20 for $18.00. Canned on 10-31-19; consumed for review on 2-16-20.

Beer poured orange with a nice white head with the original pour.

Nose reminded me of Stroh's back in the day when my Pops always had it around; robust Euro malt base with honey showing its head.

Taste is really nice, the Bohemian Pils malts, honey, and Noble hops coming nicely to form a crisp sweet but well balanced brew. Bitterness is 6/10 on my scale.

Mouthfeel comes across as crisp and clean.

Overall i am shocked at how good this is the 2nd time. Had it while with friends and it came across as sweeter at that time. Looking forward to my 2nd one here shortly!
