Alright y’all, we feel like this is it, our house modern American pale ale. Hazy in appearance, but built to be a drinkable, crisp, moderately bitter pale ale showcasing pure Citra hop. Mainly our house pils malt, a touch of dextrin malt, and just a bit of raw Sonoran white wheat from Grain R&D. Bittered early and uniformly with Cascade, then hit with a small amount of Citra in the whirlpool before being dry hopped with a modest 2lb/bbl of Citra. Moderation and light handed brewing philosophy brought this beer to be the perfect vessel of the Citra hop. Soft, thirst quenching, tropical, orange marmalade, zippy. A pale ale meant to be enjoyed with others, in elevated amounts. Nothing less and nothing more than the Arizona Star.

Poured a turbid light gold into my Societe Pint glass with ample head, two fingers probably. Smells herbal, fruity, juicy. This won’t be a bland pale, for sure. The taste pops with the herbal hops, myriad tropical fruit flavors, sweet, and juicy. It’s very drinkable with great balance and a decent malt foundation that makes it seem more like an IPA. Another winner from the house of bird and I can’t wait to go to their brewery sometime in the near future, cheers!

Pours a hazy yellow with 2/5" white head. The degree of the haze is minimal, has that almost kellerbier like appearance to it. I like the Citra and Cascade combo, old meets new world reliable hops, predictable notes of citrus flesh and rind all around. Its got a nice crisp breezy aroma which would continue its ways in regard to the forthcoming attributes as well.
Taste is a nice light, possibly pilsner malt like support system that continues a great even handedness between the super reliable Cascade hop citrus bitterness and Citra fleshiness and sweetness. Truly separates itself from being an ipa with its levity and easy going vibes. Is it hoppy? Damn straight. But it isn't mega danky going for tropical fruit or whatnot, just has more of that Orange Cassidy aspect going for it. Its definitely an Arizona centric label, but its a beer that makes sense for such a hot area. Yes, Arizona and Wren House excel at making lagers, but sometimes we want a pale ale, and this one definitely will scratch that itch.

This is really delicious! Hazy beer, but don’t let that scare you. Poured from a pint can, this beer had a nice fluffy head that lingered for a while. This drinks like a pale ale dream. The aroma is fruity hops with a nice restrained floral character. It is an extremely drinkable APA that finishes dry and makes you want more. I like that this is actually a pale ale, and not an ipa being called a pale ale. They really have this one dialed in! Only thing I could even try to knock it for is that APA isn’t a hazy style, but it’s so delicious I don’t care. I wish I could get this beer all the time where I’m from.
