Another in the pie thief line, this one sweetens it all out into a session like experience. This is the first review of this beer on this Next Glass owned website. Depending on your mood/mindset/the weather, this one can hit or miss like so many things in life. Had this I think for Thanksgiving or Christmas 2023 it looks like from the picture(s).
Pours a burnt orange and brown like color, seems to have a degree of clarity to it. Scaleable light beige 1/2" head on the glass. The aroma has the usual holiday spice rack thing going for it: nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, etc. . .. Does smell less boozy or "tough" if you will.
The taste allows you to really get into that spice rack moreso, the full strength, much less bourbon editions have a much heavier alcohol and bitterness presence than this one does. There's like vanilla or vanilla ice cream marshmallow like addition here that smooths out the mouthfeel pretty nicely too. I definitely like the session leveling of this, allows more nuance to come through, but also seems sweeter to where I'm not sure I want all 16 oz of this, a good one to share. But then again, all of the pie thief's are better for sharing than solo crushing.
