We seriously cannot wait for y’all to try this new batch of our 10% Pumpkin wheatwine, Pie Thief! For 2021 we decide to do an “à la Mode” version, boiled a little longer for a thicker, sweeter body and finished with lots of decadent vanilla. It’s by far our favorite iteration of Pie Thief and we think you’ll love it. Limited small batch this year, get it while it lasts!

Why hello old friend from 2021, here is yet another in the long series of reviews titled "holy shit, this beer is from years ago, nobody has added it to this Next Glass owned database yet?" Sometimes a hero comes along who also reviews the beer he added to the database. You're welcome. rodbeermunch/bArF ain't nuttin' ta fug wit.
Pours a dark brown, 1/2" beige head. Aroma of vanilla and pumpkin spice rack (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg).
The taste brings something unique to this series: Vanilla. And there is a lot of it, but it does make the higher abv easier to drink than other variations. The same roasted wheat and barley maltings are there, but the heat and bitterness are somewhat subdued. Like the other ones, this one is best split with someone else. Its not the type of beer you crush a 4 pack of down at the river. But it is nice and tasty in smaller amounts. Those special occasion type of holiday beers. You are here, here's looking at you, kid. Coffee in consolation size? Interesting.
