This Imperial Stout was aged in a pair of Eagle Rare barrels for over a year before being finished on stroopwafels, really rounding out the final product. Smells like a fresh cup of Cafe de olla with it's fresh cinnamon and coffee notes. Using the best stroopwafels we could find; made up of soft toasted waffles, caramel, cinnamon, and real bourbon vanilla, we're getting every component of that in this beer. A soft mouthfeel revealing flavors of sweet toffee and caramel, with a balanced spice and spirit note from its oaked bourbon pairing. Slightly warming it brings out an increased decadence and cinnamon aroma, in similar fashion as a traditionally served stroopwafel.
