On nitro tap at Mc G's Irish Pub & Grill in Chatsworth, CA.
Pours a murky super dark orange-brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Thick swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, coffee bean, and brewed coffee aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, coffee bean, and brewed coffee flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a smooth, creamy, and slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice coffee addition that works well with the base beer.
Serving type: on nitro tap.
