I got this fresh from Austria, thanks to Stefan Boehler & my boss Herbert.
Pours a hazy saffron yellow with some orangey colors emerging when held to the light. A one-finger, rocky off-white head holds for a few minutes and is fed by actively rising carbonation. Smooth, fine lacing is left behind at the top of the glass.
Aroma-grassy with some yeasty aromas and a subtle lemony citrus is present.
Mouthfeel-A crisp hop bitterness, almost pilsner-like hits the palate. A sweet malty flavor proceeds to coat the palate. The wheat is detectable with a just a little bite but the body is rather smooth. The lemony citrus in the aroma appears in the flavor profile and the hops return at the finish. A froth on the palate creates a creamy flavor and feel with the lemon flavors getting a little sweeter. All in a good way. Thirst quenching and sessionable.
