From the growler that they politely poured for me (MANY THANKS) while
out with Bluejacket74 and his friend Laura. This solid barley wine pours a
murky orange tinged brown with a nice head of off white foam that settles
to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some light lacing. Nose of raisin,
spicy hops, spicy booze, rich caramel, pine notes, and subtle orchard fruit notes
amongst some toffee. Flavors are excellent and surpass the nose with toffee,
caramel, peach notes, pine, herbal hops, white raisin, and light touches of
date and fig. Nice mouth feel; medium body, light carbonation, smooth, rich,
warming, lightly sticky, and finishing warm and lightly dry.
Overall-----excellence from an excellent brewery that deserves more attention!
Cheers!

I tried this beer at the brewery whilst in Delaware, OH for Kenny O's birthday weekend. It poured a slightly hazy amber with egg shell white head that left some lace. The scent had waifs of booze and floral notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with malt base and floral highlights. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.
