This refreshing lager pours a pale straw yellow and has a subtle floral aroma & flavors of fresh biscuit. This German style Helles lager is a bit rounder or fuller-bodied than a light lager. Enjoy the floral fruitiness and under-ripe honeydew melon flavor.

DATE: April 5, 2025... OCCASION: baseball and lacrosse games over, I ease into the night with a lighter, hopefully tasty helles... GLASSWARE: Blanche de Chambly flute... pours a golden yellow body rife with upward rushing bubbles, building a two-fingered, snow-white head displaying crags and pocks, hills and cumulus lacing... what I imagine refreshing looks like... lilac, sharp hops, biscuit, honey, and newly mown grass.... evocative of a rainy spring field of flowers... easy on the palate, though its appearance on the teeth is textured and buzzing... the throat is soft and welcoming, with a short lingering finish... refreshing, yes... the floral hops in this produce a profile bigger than its ABV might suggest, a bright mix of flowers, biscuit, and honey, with hints of tobacco, straw and lemon.... this is a pleasant find, smooth and agreeable, yet vibrant and memorable in each sip... this is one I hope earns flagship status; if not, I will seek it out each spring...
