We stopped here on a whim, this place is just down the hill from Bear Chase Brewing.
It’s an interesting place, a little rustic in some aspects , nice vibe, and, an excellent view of the surrounding countryside from the hill it’s on. Plenty of outdoor seating, both on the patio, and on the lawn. Picnic tables and Adirondack chairs are scattered all over the hillside, some even shaded by the trees.
Live music and food are available. The beer was good, and a decent variety. They even had a “guest brewer” out-building with a couple kegs on tap when we were there, very cool.

Well worth a stop, even if its just for the view. Located at the top of a hill, the place unfolds like a mountain lodge with a broad patio that provides spectacular views of the valley. we were therre when it was not crowded, so we had a really enjoyable time. There is a permanent food truck on site. They had a handful of taps as well as some pre-packaged crowlers to go. Just a lovely place.

Visited late on a Saturday afternoon. Location is great, high up on a hill with very nice views. The place was packed - our group got one of the last picnic tables on the lawn - but because of the size of the grounds everyone still had plenty of room. It happens to be across from Great Country Farms, which has tons of kids activities and is a magnet for families on the weekends, and it looked like a lot of families went to the farm and then drove across the street and up the hill to the brewery. Definitely kid friendly. There was also a limo and a party bus in the parking lot.

They had maybe nine beers on tap, including an IPA, citra IPA, session IPA, two stouts, and a cherry something. I was in a group and ended up having a sip of most of what they offered. The beers were perfectly average, with the two stouts probably my favorite. They also did a radler with a combination of grape juice (unclear if this was standard grape juice or from the winery next door) and an IPA, which we tried for the novelty of it - I wouldn't recommend it.

There were three bars open, two in different buildings that had all beers they offered, tasters, pints, crowlers, and growler fills, and a third that was outside that did pints of four of the beers. All had long lines, but I got the impression it was an exceptionally busy day (the weather was great and it was a prime weekend for the huge farm across the street) and it normally isn't so crowded.

Our group shared nachos and pretzels, which were fine. I don't recall there being much else besides those two things and pizza.

The only thing I didn't like is that they would only sell two glasses at at time, even tasters. I certainly get that for full pours, but it would have been nice to be able to try a few more things by allowing someone to walk away with more than two tasters. Unclear if that is always their policy or only when it is busy.

The beer alone isn't worth the drive from DC, but it is a very nice place to spend a weekend afternoon and I will make it a point to go back the next time I am in that part of Loudoun.

During a day-long pub crawl in the Leesburg area we chose to visit this place to try their beer. The place is located in a rural setting on the top of a hill that requires some fortitude to make your way up, and more so when coming down if you've had too much to drink. Once you get to the top, what a view! The pub's interior is small, and the weather was very nice that day so everyone was enjoying the patio views while enjoying their beers. The building is an attractive stone structure that has a covered section of patio at the rear with a fireplace. An outdoor bar was located in a small outbuilding. The vibe score in this review is bumped up because of the tremendous view of the countryside, but the surroundings probably would have earned a 4.25 rating without the view. (The rating would then be 3.74.)

There were 8 beers on tap, so we chose to get a sampler flight of 6 of them. Each of them was brewed very well to its respective style, but none were very exciting. The most notable one was the Tart Cherry Ale. The others all scored a 3.75, so consistency in the brewing quality is present.

Food is served here from a limited menu but we did not order anything. It did smell good when walking past the kitchen. The beers were good, the view was outstanding, so what's not to like about visiting this place? Just be careful on the drive down the hill.

Man, some of y'all are harsh. The beer is pretty good; not great, but pretty good. The tart cherry ale was refreshing; the irish red was true to style; the blonde ale was almost without character. The IPAs were solid; not great, but solid. Didn't have food, but it looked like pretty good bar food. But the location is so beautiful that you can forgive almost anything. It's gorgeous, and the beer is plenty good enough.

From the huge patio high on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge, you can see for miles. And the beer ain't bad, either.

It's kind of hard to rate a place like this. The layout is amazing. You're pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and you drive up a desolate half-paved road winding through some farmland, to this lodge-like building with some amazing views of the valleys/mountains/plain/what-have-you below. The inside is medium-sized, but the draw really is the outside area, where you can really soak in the great VA scenery. Kid and pet friendly of course.

Moving on to the beer. About 8 beers to choose from, with an okay range of styles, but...it's not very good. I had a sampler flight: two fruit beers which were so-so, and two IPAs which were pretty bad. Nothing else really appealed to me on the list. There was really no service per se, basically order at the bar, and take it to your seat. I didn't try the food.

Basically, here's the bottom line. If the beer here was good, this would be a totally legit craft beer destination. Instead, it's really just a tourist trap. Which is a shame, because the location is top-notch.

Dirt Farm Brewing is a throw back experience that is totally unimaginable so near the urban sprawl of the Wash., D.C. Met. You are "Transported", a la Time Machine, to another Era of long ago. It's as if you are visiting your neighbors down the road, and they have "Broken Out" the "Good Stuff" for your enjoyment. A convivial setting, with a panoramic view, that takes you back to a simpler, and more easy going, time ... Being "Child & Pet Friendly" is also a great plus. The proprietors are true "Stewards of the Land" and walk the walk regarding "Going & STAYING, Green." Very impressive from the first sudsy sip to the last lingering after taste.
