I had this beer on draft at the brewpub in Hershey. Although I dont believe they actually brew beer there.
Anyway, beer arrives in a sort of chalice snifter thick stem glass.
Beer is a dark coffee brown color with dense creamy beige head of 1 cm.
Aroma is roasted malts and some dark chocolate, no hop character.
First sip reveals a medium to light body with very smooth and fine gentle carbonation that easily rolls across my palate.
Beer drinks very easy and feels nice and is suitable for the style.
Flavor follows the nose with dark chocolate and cocoa powder including some chalkiness. A little bit of roasted malt kicks in too, but again no hop character and ABV is as expected hidden during the sampling.
The beer drinks nice and is enjoyable, also checks the boxes for the style. I enjoy it while visiting with a friend but the beer is also not overly memorable.
