Copenhagen 4/2 2022. 33 cl bottle from Systembolaget, Emporia, Hyllinge. The label is made out to look like a yellowed index card with Hönsinges logo with the hop flower.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big lightly beige head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, roasty and malty odor mingling with dark licorice. Dark roasted malts, salty licorice and bitter coffee. Earthy notes of leather and humid soil.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a long while. Finish is dry.
Dark, earthy and not too sweet. More than decent.
