OK people, let me tell you about my experience with Dead Calm. I started out with a flight of a few different styles, (as usual,) going from light to dark so as to establish my palate along with the beers. Man, it was a bit back, so I can only tell you I had the Coelia, a fantastic rosemary infused Wheat, Jazz Age, an oatmeal stout, Selfish Giant, scottish ale and my second favorite from them, and then, Dead Calm, which is a barrel aged take on their Quiet Storm Imperial Stout. First taste and I was in heaven. Quiet Storm is an outstanding Imperial and Dead Calm is the standard of what an imperial should be. Can't remember the barrels, (maybe Irish Whiskey?) but good lord man, if you get the chance to swing by here, there's always a good thing going on. Cheers!

Thought it would be busy on a Sunday and there was maybe 4 groups of folks in there, 2 being families with wee dudes. Warehouse sort of feel right up front. Gorgeous day to be in there with the sun streaming right in the front windows. I had a flight and then added a barrel aged beer to that. Everything was great I had a hard time making a growler choice. Settled on the black rye lager Oculus-outstanding! Service was certainly pleasant and attentive. A great find, I can imagine it might get a bit packed. Will be back here for sure.

Strolled in here on a Sunday afternoon on April 3, 2016, about two hours before closing. There was about 35 people in there, which I guess was about 40% capacity. Didn't have any problem with street parking, but I can see how that might be a problem...late afternoon Sunday it was not. The bartender was friendly and advised that they just opened in December 2015. Had the opportunity to sample all nine beers they had on tap at the time (one had just kicked) and the variety was pretty good but more heavily weighted toward darker beers. Great atmosphere, especially when the weather is good as they can open all three garage bays. Good food truck on site as well as live music. Plenty of table seating and bar stools along the walls. Overall a good experience that would get me back there next time I'm in the area.

Went on a sunny Saturday afternoon and had a good time. Had eight beers on tap, all their own, and had some pretty good ones. The wait can be a little hectic as their isn't much space to lineup and it's just a couple of guys taking your order and then pouring your beer; would not want to be here when it gets packed or else you're looking at long wait times (like other breweries in Ghent). Only other complaint is parking which is hit or miss, and if you miss, you're walking a few blocks or leaving your car in "peril" (by that I mean in the shopping plaza across street that threatens to tow non-customers). Worth at least one visit if not more.
